This was a new computer that came with Windows 10 installed, purchased about a year ago. There wasn't a particular event that I can point to. It still eventually does the reset on its own.
I have tried power down and up on the JetDirect, and the printer, and using the reset button on the back of the JetDirect. I could always put in a waste sheet or two before my blank paper, but would prefer to find a solution to the reset issue. If I leave the bin empty and wait until I need to print, it will still print that out before doing the requested print job successfully. It does this every couple of days which results in a waste of paper. It then lists Registers:, Stack:, and Call Chain, which I won't reproduce here, but can take a photo and provide if necessary. When that happens it automatically sends a signal t the printer to print a JetDirect Diagnostic page which says,Īn event has occurred that has casued the JeDirect to reset.
